"I was diagnosed with moderate diabetes 12 years ago and my glucose level fluctuated between 120 and 200. I started taking diabetes medication and managed to control my blood sugar level, but my life was never the same. I stopped eating anything with sugar. "My mother was diagnosed with type II diabetes with a glucose level of 129 mg/dL in January, 2009. She was immediately put on the oral medications, acarbose and glipizide tablets, by her doctor.
